Any sonic advantages of the BIT series?

Dear Bryston,

having checked out your offering in the BIT series on your website and having understood the advantages in respect of electrical protection for the audio equipment connected to it (e.g., surge protection), would there be any sonic advantages to it?

I.e., does it affect the sound in any way?

Also, what is the difference between the BIT5/15/20 models? How would one know which one to choose?
