SMB v2 support on the Pi for mounting shares in Win10

by martydmnt » Wed Apr 03, 2019 3:45 am

Chris, any comment on SMB2 support on the Pi? Microsoft has removed SMBv1 support from Win10, so while my Mac can still mount the drive attached to my Pi, my Win10 machine cannot. I do this when I have new music to load onto the Pi rather than directly attaching the external HD to my Win10 machine.

Thanks!

We do intend to update the smb implementation later this year, but in the mean time you can re-enable it on your PC.

Great! Thanks for the information and the tip regarding re-enabling it in Win10.
