Tidal Samples Rates Compared

by rkramer40 » Fri Dec 14, 2018 11:02 pm

Playing Tidal music "Masters" . Various titles

BDP-2 (AES) interconnected to a BDA-3, lossless setting BDA-3 Displays "44K1"

Apple Imac (USB) connected to a BDA-3, lossless setting BDA-3 Displays "96K0"

Are these values correct and to be expected, playing the same tracks?

My ears and eyes tell me that the USB connection is preferred.

Thoughts?

Hi Ron,
The same happens to me. While playing TIDAL master audios from BDP-2 the sample rate Is always 44.1khz as displayed on my MC2600. The same lossless master music while played by my Surface can arrive untill 96khz.

It does not depend on connections, USB cable and etc, but I think, on Bryston policy.

We simply haven't licensed MQA yet and our policy on the matter likely is we won't ever.
