Have had the BDP-1/BDA-1 combo now for 2+ years.

All I can say is... BDA-1 + BDP-1 = OMG-1 !

Makes digital sound ANALOG with well-recorded tracks.

I agree with you completely. Even more so now that I've taken delivery of a new 4BSST2. WOW!!! I thought things sounded good before, but everything is so much better with the addition of this wonderful amp. And what service! My dealer in Ft. Collins, Colorado, ordered it last Monday and he got it yesterday (Friday)! I drove to his place as soon as he called, and had it installed in our system by evening. We've been enjoying the combination of the BDP1, BDA1 and the 4B all day and our system has never sounded better!

Hi Spyman,

Congrats, and enjoy your new arrangement. Yeah, they were major game changers for me too. Lifers for sure, not seeking sonic perfection, if there is such a thing, just supreme musicality, fidelity, and that "sounds right" feeling, for lack of a better term.

Thanks, Pete. I borrowed a 4B SST2 from my dealer first and right from the first song, my wife and I both sat there with our mouths open. My wife said, "Now *there's* a difference!" And she was right. I called the dealer almost right away and told him to order one for me. There's just something special about the combination that makes listening a real pleasure.

I have all equipment plugged into a Bryston BIT 15. I really think that makes a difference too, especially for a quieter background. There's virtually no noise at all! I'm a happy listener!

Very nice, Terry. I am a fanatic believer in power conditioning. Shunyata takes the prize on that! Zero reactance on their Typhon unit, means no coloration or compression of dynamics.

Enjoy your music. I have to get down to Denver sometime for the Rocky Mountain Audiofest -- have never been to an audio trade show before.

It's easy to get addicted to sublime music and SQ, eh? 8-)

Cheers,
Pete

We'll be at Audio Fest next weekend. I see that Bryston will be there again this year. Last year we got to hear the Mini-Ts for the first time. Really good speakers! It's always good to listen to equipment you know you can't possibly afford.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It makes us glad to you all can enjoy our equipment as much as we do. We'll be in room 9009 this year at RMAF. The system is similar to last year except we're bringing the Middle Ts.

Are you going to be there, Gary? The Bryston room is usually one of the first rooms we go to. As a matter of fact, meeting James Tanner at RMAF a few years ago when he was showing the BDP -1 was my first introduction to Bryston. He was so patient in answering all my questions. I looked up my dealer, Audio Alternative, who always has a couple of rooms at the show, made an appointment for the next week, and promptly ordered the BDP-1 and BDA-1. I've been a Bryston fan ever since. You guys do a great job.

The next version of BDP (BDP-3) should have built-in Wi-Fi capability. For whatever reason, lots of people encounter Wi Fi setup issues initially (including moi). We all aren't IT experts. I think other players like Oppo (?) have this built-in capability. This is not meant as a criticism, but a constructive suggestion. Hardware and software all in one unit maybe? 8-)

Thanks.

Still very happy with my BDP-1 Loony Loon. With powered USB hub and 2 x 500-GB drives and 1 x 64GB thumb drive all plugged into hub.

Feel no urge whatsoever to "upgrade" OS or to BDP-2. End game.
