Downsides to MM?

I'm happy with my BDA-1/BDP-1 combo , using my iPad as my remote, but would really love to get capability to access radio. Am thinking about downloading MM. Are there ant risks or possible downside to downloading MM? I'm not a techie and would hate to screw up my current setup.

Been a lot of messages re. glitches in MM. It's all relative to what you can tolerate, I guess. Ask yourself: How important is radio to me? I too have not upgraded to MM, and am perfectly happy with LL on my BDP-1/BDA-1. In the end, it's all about the music (FLAC) for me.

And what capability does Loony Loon give you?

What you have right now.

Can you be more specific? I have nothing, other than mPad - neither MM or LL. What would I gain from downloading LL? If nothing, why have it?

You probably have LL. All BDP-1's ship with some kind of software installed I think, mine was LL.
Check. Power down then Boot up BDP-1. If it shows something like
S1.73 2013-07-02

on the device screen, then you have LL.
MPad is fine.

Check with Gary.

No showstoppers with MM, and in fact its USB implementation is a lot more robust than under 1.x (drives are read faster, and switching them in and out, which could cause lock-ups under LL, no longer causes issues.) The web interface works much nicer, too. However, with the latest update to 2.06, some new bugs have been introduced for me, the front panel display issue and AIFF playback being particular nuisances. If you haven't upgraded yet, I would recommend waiting until Bryston has rolled out its next maintenance update.

Thanks for the input. I'll wait.
